Forum search help

When I search the forum for numbers with decimal points like "1.20", "3.3" or "3.3v" (with and without the parenthesis), I get no results. The same is true for numbers that are a subset of a keyword, like 33 or *33 vs vout33. No results.

Does the forum search support wild cards? Is there a way to search for these keywords that will find them?

Yeah, the vbulletin search system leaves a lot to be desired.

I've been a little reluctant to customize the forum too much. But maybe there's some sort of simple mod to have the search just use google? I've seen a few other forums that do something like that. Apparently none of these forum software packages has search anywhere near as good as google's algorithms!
