Teensy 3.1 not going to program mode

    Hello,

I recently bought a Teensy 3.1 while ordering a pcb from OSHPark. When uploading the teensyloader pops up, asking to push the button but it doesn't upload the sketch. Arduino 1.6.1 says "Teensy did not respond to a USB-based request to automatically reboot.
Please press the PROGRAM MODE BUTTON on your Teensy to upload your sketch.". I tried different usb types but none seem to work. I was able to upload 2-3 sketches before it stopped working, but even before it never uploaded at the first time, I always had to do it a couple of times before it got uploaded.

I started checking powers as suggested by Paul in other threads.

First, check if the board is getting good power. This is *always* the first thing to check. VIN should be 5V is running from USB, and 3.3V should be 3.3 volts. If the power is bad, nothing will work.

Next, check the PROGRAM and RESET lines. On Teensy 3.1, RESET is on a tiny test pad on the back side. Both should normally be 3.3V while Teensy is running.
5V, 3.3V and PROGRAM are ok. But RESET is 0.108 volts, should I try to pull it to 3.3V?

    When uploading, syslog says:
Apr 12 18:29:37 macbookproz.local teensy[1584]: WARNING: The Gestalt selector gestaltSystemVersion is returning 10.9.2 instead of 10.10.2. Use NSProcessInfo's operatingSystemVersion property to get correct system version number.

Make sure you have a good USB cable. May not relate - but I lost an hour last night on a Teensy that had power - but wouldn't show as connected and ignored the button.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it is not the case. I use two different cables that I normally use to transfer pictures from the phone to the mac. Actually I read your post in the other thread before posting while I was searching for a solution

Is there anything else I can try before I contact my supplier, call this unit defective and try to get a refund or substitute?
