Hi,

My project is going to be switching relays via a relay module which is active low. I would like to have manual override switch for each output. Can I simply put a switch between the output pin and ground?

Regards,

Les

You now that you're shorting the pin to ground, otherwise you wouldnt ask.. :)
Maybe you want to add a resistor.

Sorry, that post was a bit rushed.

I should have said I am using a Teensy 3.1 and should have asked what value resistor to use with the switch.

Without Resistor:

Do you have a datasheet of this module or a schematic ?

Thanks for your help Frank.

This is the module I am using. It is using Songle SRD-05VDC-SL-C relays.

Here's a schematic I made with my limited eyesight and skills...(not relevant now thanks to your other answer, but it's nice to work how how something is working)

Thanks, that was the obvious answer, why didn't I think of it?

I did'nt think of it too, at first.
The variant with the resistor would not work, because the current through the optocoupler would be too low. Maybe with removing/shorting R1 and place it to the other side (input)
