Trying to get back into Teensy after a long absence.

I went thru two Teensy 2.0's recently. Fried the same part. Looks like a cap that is between the Atmel and pin D0. Looks like its one of the rail caps on the VCC.

I think the ground from my 5V voltage regulator lifted and took the 10V from the input, applied a little diode action/drop to it, then put 9V-ish into Vcc toasting one of the 0.1uF caps there. Does that sound reasonable?

Also, I have the schematic for T2.0, but is there a parts layout drawing somewhere?

Indeed, that part near the D0 pin is a 0.1 uF decoupling cap, between 5V and GND.

9 or 10 volts would certainly kill the AVR chop. But those little 0.1uF capacitors are rated to 16 volts. Something *really* horrible would have to happen to cause one of those caps to burn.
