Hi,

So let's say I want to use an oscillator instead of a crystal as the main clock for a Teensy 3.x or the LC.. would I simply attach the output of the oscillator to EXTAL? Here is an example I've drawn up using a ASTX-H11-16, which shows a thermally compensated oscillator output connected to pin 24 of the Teensy LC processor (DIY-edition).

I presume the same rules would apply to the 3.x series for the main clock as well as the RTC input? My motivation, BTW is to see if I can get some very good time/temp performance. The ASTX is about $2.5 more than the regular crystal but it promises to be thermally compensated. I'm also interested in the SIT1552 for the Teensy 3.x RTC... there the cost difference is a little less, i.e. $1.5.
