seeed rephone modular kit now being sold

Hi all, just seen that the modular GSM +BLE phone kit from seeed is now being sold in the UK for under 60 pounds sterling. Interesting movement in open source connectivity. Lots of add ons available at a price, but plenty of hardware interface potential built in.

It's cool indeed but a lot of crucial information is missing, i.e. FCC and carrier approvals, for instance. Without these, there is no commercial market for the stuff in the US.

In other words, this is just a cheaper version of the Sparqee, with all the same issues re: regulatory approval. OK for the maker market, nothing to be messed with re: commercial products.
