USB Midi Type send Keyboard Commands

Hi,
I currently am working on a midi controller with buttons using teensy and the midi USB Type to send signals. I have all the buttons working sending midi and now I want a few of the other buttons to send keyboard keystroke commands for the left and right arrow keys. I have been unable to figure out how to get the teensy to send both keyboard signals and midi signals through the usb.
Does anyone have any suggestions or insight on how to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes!

you need a combined midi/keyboard usb descriptor. Here is a post that points you in the right direction.

I myself use a combined midi/keyboard descriptor (usb_desc.h in /cores/) to send midi and keystrokes, so I could find my descriptor and post it ... However, the instructions in the post and in the file will get you there yourself ....

Hey, Adrian. Do you still happen to have that modified usb_desc.h file? I've posted with a question about my (so far failed) attempt at doing so here but no luck yet on an answer. I'd love to be able to compare your modified code to mine and see where I went wrong.
