I have a teensy audio board plugged into an amplifier driving two loud 8" speakers. A friend chose the amp so I don't know its specs but something about the circuit causes not only a distracting buzzing sound but also death to audio boards. We've lost three. The last one died when we were diagnosing the buzz and switched off and on the amplifier. After inspection I noticed that the 3V and GND were now shorted in the audio board.
I'd like to replace the amp with one Paul or the community can recommend, or at least make sure we're meeting spec. Do amp inputs have Ohm ratings? Does it matter whether we use the audio board headphone jack or line out? Thanks!
