Saving Data/SD Card Problems

Hi all, I am having some trouble with a CAN logger that I am working on, and I'm wondering if someone might be able to help me? The LED on the Teensy blinks rapidly when data is being saved to the sd card. Half the time the logger works very well, but sometimes the LED will just stop blinking and become solid. When this happens the file never has a chance to close and nothing gets saved to the sd card. A brand new sd cards seem to be fine for a while, but eventually it begins to happen more and more. Reformatting it with this formatter https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/ seems to get it working again for a bit, but it soon reverts back to freezing regularly. It feels like I am doing something that is damaging the sd cards in some way, but I have no idea what that might be. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? I can post some of my code if need be. If its any help, this is the shield that I am using with the Teensy. https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/VeJFD9qA

I have tried both the 8gb SanDisk Ultra, and the SanDisk Extreme. Both were ordered from Amazon via Prime. I believe I found the problem. I was using two 3V 500mah coin cell batteries in series. They just aren't able to supply the current needed for as long as I thought they could. As the battery voltage dropped (3.3v down to 2V in a matter of minuets) the Teensy would eventually glitch, thus leading to problems with writing to the sd card. After multiple repeats of me testing with these batteries, the card would fry. Once I switched to a more stable power supply there was no sign of any problems. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
