Which BLE module for teensy

I've been using HC-06 modules, but I'd like to start getting familiar with BLE, and I'm wondering which BLE modules people have had success using with teensy.
Preferably, I'd like to use something based on the NRF52 chip.

I noticed adafruit has a couple of modules (both out of stock) based on the NRF52. One is UART and one is SPI.
I don't know if there will be any difference in throughput for one vs the other.

I'd consider using this one from adafruit, but it's a pretty unfriendly format for the teensy.

What about these? Anyone tried one of the HM-10 or HM-11 modules based on the CC2540/CC2541?
