Teensy 3.1 and Xbee Adaptor

I'm kinda new to this, please be patient. I have a teensy 3.1 and an xbee adaptor assembled per the 3.x instructions at the bottom of this page:

https://www.pjrc.com/store/xbee_adaptor.html

It has 12 pins on each edge, which I have filled with headers to plug into sockets on my teensy.

I have a teensy 3.1 and it has 14 pins on each edge. I don't see pin-out information on the adaptor, so I'm not sure which pins on the adaptor align to which on the teensy. I have 12 pin sockets to attach to the teensy, but not sure where to put them.

With usb on the left, starting on the bottom, there's GND, 0, 1, ... 10, 11, 12 (14 pins total). Which 12 get the socket, all left, all right or center?

I'm also not sure where pin 1 is on the adaptor board. If the writing is right side up, am I looking at pin 1 on the lower left?

Thanks for any help you might offer.

I suspect there's some sort of compatibility standard that I'm just unaware of as I jumped in at 3.1. But after looking at the 2.0 and 3.1 pins I'm still not sure.

I am now making guesses. Looking at the diagram on this page again (https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/td_libs_XBee.html) is seems that the socket must be aligned to the left on the teensy 3.1, where GND is lower left, followed by 0..9 (7 and 8 of which are RX3/TX3), opposite on the top is Vin, and then the pins AGND, 3.3V and 23..17.

Can anyone please confirm that this even makes sense before I start soldering sockets?
