no communication com port (usb) available in glediator (rtxt and jar file)

I tried everyhing create the Library/Java/Extensions folder included librxtxSerial.jnilib and RXTXcomm.jar files, but by starting up glediator i cant communicate with the computers ports cause its empty.
at com port there is nothing its stays blanc, serial open therefore i cant start.

what am i doing wrong ?
where can i let glediator find my com port ?

i am sure the usb ports all work !

I resolved the COM port issue by un-installing all forms of Java on my computer.

Then going to https://java.com/en/download/ and getting the latest version for whatever system I was running (32 or 64 bit).

It's only mentioned in a few places I've seen but Glediator is a java program and to allow it to communicate by serial you need to intall RXTX for java. http://rxtx.qbang.org/wiki/index.php/Download
Follow the install instructions in the text file for whatever bit system you are running.

Hey Ninten, were you on mac by any chance? I'd love some help installing RXTX as I can't seem to get it working.

Furthest I got required unarchiving a stuffit archive which is apparently really old.
