Hi all,
I have a Teensy 3.1 running the OctoWS2811 library and a serial device on Serial1. It has been working fine until this evening when I started receiving Chr(46) from the Serial1 transmit line. If I do not call leds.show() the problem goes away. I see no shorts on my wiring, and I verified with a scope that the Serial1 TX line is in fact transmitting repeated "." characters.
Also, on a possibly but unlikely related topic, what's the little component between the GND pin and the USB connector? I noticed it was burnt.
