how warm the teensy 3.6 gets

did anyone else notice how warm the 3.6 gets? at 180mhz the blink sketch it gets quite warm, dont have exact numbers as I dont have a ir thermo and I have to find my bead thermocouple

its quite warm though. not hot, but still.
 
The most I ever got on my Beta units with an IR thermometer was [IIRC] 100-104°F, warm to touch but no more - I posted updates during the Beta of the actual numbers I saw. I often ran at 240 MHz - one had the Ethernet adapter piggybacked for days of PING while it ran other stuff and never exceeded that temp and at or under 100 was more common. The first K66 Proto was of course an UNO sized board with a larger external leg K66 processor. If you can get numbers it would be interesting to see.
 
Yeah, the 3.6 at 180 MHz is using 70 mA with a blink sketch, quite impressive. You can lower this to ~40 mA is using WFI.
