Suggestion: Maybe add a few moderators...

Hi Paul and Robin,

Sometimes I think it would be great, if there were a few people up here who for example could update forum posts.

Luckily your marking a message as spam, and it gets removed quickly has removed a common case where more moderators can help.

But would be great if for example someone does a post with code that is not in code tags, if someone could go back and fix it...

I know it helped on a few forums that I have been a moderator...

Just a thought.

It is great being able to 'Report Posts' and have them vanish - most days I get at least one - so nice the 15 seconds rule was removed too!

Speaking of SPAM - could NEW forum members be restricted to a single 'Main Category' for 2 posts or 24 hours or pending account approval? Either creating posts or threads?

Something that would limit or slow spammers down but allow new folks to get legitimate help?

It occurred to me having the forum under ANNOUCEMENTS show : "You may not post new threads"
That this might be easier than trying daily to keep the whole of the forum clean?
