Best practice int32_t or just int?

I see some here use the teensy specific type definitions and some don't. I at present I only do Adriano on Teensys. So is it considered good practice to use the non ambiguous type definitions so porting to other targets would be easier?

That's the specific reason I use true bit size definitions. Many of my projects start out on Nanos then Megas and finally Teensies.
