I've started building a teensy 3.6 fritzing component (for an teensy audio display project);

This is a work-in-progress and its only my second component I've created for fritzing, but I thought I'd share it.

So far I have:
a rough breadboard svg,
a rough schematic svg;
I am creating the pcb svg; then I will need to wire them up in fritzing;

Please feel free to use, modify, share, clone, correct, send pull request, etc...

I'm looking forward to use this, any ETA on an importable part?
The PCB part is most important for me personally.

I don't think it'll be too long now, perhaps about a week or two.

I've finally finished the PCB svg, and now all I've got to do is wire it all together now as a fritzing component - although this seems to be the hardest part... I am struggling to re-open my saved component in fritzing - Once saved, Im not able to re-load in back into fritzing - it seems there is some manual work to be done.... I think i have finally found the solution;

I've done my best to pay attention to detail in creating the PCB svg graphic; https://github.com/newdigate/teensy-3.6/blob/master/fritzing/svgs/pcb.svg

When I say a week or two - I mean the untested fritzing component;

It will take me a few months to have the pcb printed and tested; As this is my first complete fritzing component there may be some errors which in time I hope will be ironed out;

I am very fond of the little teensy familty of devices and I think having a good fritzing component will help beginners diagram their ideas and make PC boards;

What I like about Fritzing is the breadboard view; It is also the only free PCB editor that I am aware of; Eagle is free but only for a limited size PCB;

There is also DesignSpark. Some people love it, some hate it. I have not tried it yet. I have been using the professional version of Eagle since the early 90's (DOS version 2.6). I needed the pro version because my simple 2 layer PC boards for vacuum tube amps are too big for any other version. I upgraded every year for about $100. When Newark / Farnell bought Eagle they up-revved it and wanted over $600 for me to upgrade. Then they modified the library format such that the old version (5.11) that I am using will not open any library created since then, and now want over $1000 for the upgrade. That is far beyond my budget, so I will probably try DesignSpark when I need to make something that requires a new library footprint.

FYI - I use Diptrace. I started using it as I found it far more intuitive than Eagle. They have a freeware version of it that you can use as long as you are not making money from it, but it is limited to 2 layers and 300 pins. I purchased the standard addition, which is limited to 4 layers and 1000 pins.

I also purchased one of the Eagle lite additions (currently 6.6), that I use to look at other designs, plus use it to export data such as libraries in a format that I can then import into Diptrace.

I keep meaning to look into Kicad as well. There was also a recent posting by Seeedstudio about converting Eagle library to Kicad, which I have not tried yet, but: http://seeed.cc/Converting-Seeed-OP...m18&utm_medium=mailchimp&utm_campaign=fu_1229

Awesome! Thats good information... Thanks;

Here is a first version of a Fritzing component for Teensy 3.6:
https://github.com/newdigate/teensy-3.6/tree/master/fritzing

It is completely untested and is likely to contain errors; please feel free to add issues in github if you like. or on this forum...

Once I've done some testing myself I will submit to the Fritzing crowd;

Are there any eagle parts for teensy 3.6? I've not been able to find any; I would be surprised if I was the first person to make pcb footprints for the teensy 3.6 -

I have based my work on the Teensy 3.0 part for Fritzing by Fabian Althaus; Thank you Fabian.
