Teensy Loader GUI doesn't work, but the CLI version does.

Hello,

I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 (64-bit), and have a Teensy 2.0. Despite having the udev rule installed, and trying several troubleshooting steps, I cannot get the Teensy Loader GUI to work. I says to "Press Button on Teensy to manually enter Program Mode", but doing that does not cause the Teensy Loader to react in any way. I've tried this on a different machine running Windows 10, and the result was the same.

I then tried compiling teensy_loader_cli from source, and it worked flawlessly, allowing me to both upload one of the precompiled blink examples, and anything I wrote using Teensyduino.

As a work arround, I thought that I could configure Teensyduino somehow to use the cli version rather than the gui version. Is there any way to do that?
 
what version of IDE and teensyduino are you using? I have a 64-bit ubuntu 16.04 with IDE 1.6.12 and TD 1.34. It builds and uploads fine to Teensy 2.
