Teensy 3.6 Micro USB power

I'm a complete novice when it comes to Electronics, and I'm confused on how to power the Teensy 3.6. I'm planing on making a mechanical keyboard and so will be passing data through the USB port with a male USB to male Micro USB B. Which, as far as I know, can be used as a 5V power supply.

Can I use the Micro USB to power the Teensy 3.5 safely?

I use a micro USB from PC and or a USB battery pack to power my 3.5 with no problems.

The USB can power it, do serial data, Audio and MIDI data all at the same time.
