The sparkfun product will work, you simply need to run wires from the appropriate pins
That is you need:
3.3v - Can use the feed from Teensy with most XBees... Not sure about some of the high power ones
GND - to gnd
DIN - I believe goes to UART TX pin (unless they meant connect to your IN pin ...)
DOUT - I believe goes to UART RX pin
That may be all you need... Been awhile since I used XBees... I built some into my own boards, sometimes used breakout boards (but with t3.2 did not have to worry about 5v) or on some of my boards I had Arduino like pins, so could use a shield...
