teensy audio shield compatibility

I am new to the teensy ecosystem and I am looking to buy a teensy 3 and the audio shield. I'd like to get the 3.6, but it's not immediately clear if the audio shield will work with that part, since the 3.6 seems to have more pins than the audio shield will accept. Are these compatible, or should I get the 3.2 instead?

The Teensy 3.6 is compatible with the audio shield. The first 14 pins of the Teensy 3.6 (and Teensy 3.5) match the pinout of the Teensy 3.2.
