Hi, is it possible to build a Videowall aprx 6000pixel with only a Teensy 3.x?

We would like to replace our Videowalls (Current T300K Controller ans WS2812b) with

RGBW LEDs to use them as a LARGE Torch aswell ;-) (SK6812)

Paid Assistance is welcome (Austria, Germany, Hungary, ... due to Local near, preferred)

Regards, Oreste

See side bar on this page for some common limits

6000 will fit in a T3.2 but will be over 50% RAM so need to be a bit careful what else you want to run.

Thank you for your Reply.

Is this OCTO Adaptor just for Convenient Cable Management, or does it have any other sense or use?

Is it possible to connect the Strips directly to the Teensy?

Will it run with the T3.2 smooth when connection 6000 Pixels as Video Wall?

No other Application will run there, just the Video Wall.

I have no problem to buy the larger Teensy when needed.

Thank YOu Oreste

Didn't read the fine print, and you are using RGBW two wire SPI LEDs aren't you? RAM limits on that page will be correct but update rates change depending on just which library you drive your pixels with.

The Octoboard is for RGB WS2811 pixels so while it works as a level converter for SPI pixels it's less straightforward to wire up and you may not be driving more than one strand, the Library choice would probably be fastLED https://github.com/FastLED/FastLED/wiki/Overview

You will almost certainly need level conversion since a Teensy is 3.3V and most pixels need 3.7V to read a high level.
