Is there a simple way to have Teensy open and write files on a connected computer, similar to the way Semihosting (http://infocenter.arm.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.arm.doc.dui0471g/Bgbjjgij.html) enables a program running on an ARM device to use the filesystem of a connected computer? This would be helpful for debugging and profiling, or if the Teensy is used to collect data that will be analyzed on a desktop computer.

Arduino wrote a library called Bridge, which is meant to do this. Some time ago I put some work into porting it, mainly to allowing to use USB serial instead of hardware serial. Not much has been done, as far as I know, to run the host side code on non-Yun boards.
