USB direct wire?

I have built a Teesny LC MIDI controller and everything works great!
This is a dedicated teensy and I would like to know if I can bypass the usb connector and wire direct. USB data + - pads and then 5v and gnd to the Vin and GND on the board?

Yes, these pads are on the bottom side of the board.
