Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
    3. It had Blink on it (Never managed to get beyond that point and when I click the Program button it stops blinking
    4. I'm using Teensyduino64bit 1.4 & Arduino 1.8.5 - the installation / integration worked ok - I can see the Teensy boards in the Arduino menu.
    5. If I don't press the program button this is the error that I'm getting: Notice the error sendind reboot command to /dev/bus/usb/002/050

    7. I'm using high quality USB cable - how do I know that? I'm using it for my DAQ (data acquisition system) at very high sample rates 100MBS/s. I tried other cables as well
    8. I went through the forums and troubleshooting and tried every trick that is written... plug it when holding the programming button and then release, press just when uploading, pouring on it holy water etc.. nothing. I'm open to any other suggestions ideas.
    9. I tried it via a USB hub, native USB port, USB.. same result.
    10. I have Teensy 3.2 and I'm getting the same results.
    11. I have the rules file in place
    12. I tried to run the teensy & the Arduio with root permissions

    Help.

Did you install the udev rule file? That is always required on Linux.

Is this a genuine Teensy? (purchased from PJRC or any of the official distributors)

    Hi mate,

    Thanks for trying to help
Yep - I wrote in 11 that I have the rules files in place - actually in both locations.

I have no idea from where it was purchased. I'm trying to help a friend, how do I know if it is a genuine one?

    Cheers

Re checking if this is a counterfeit with matched hardware but some hombrew bootloader, first step is check the photo here
    https://www.pjrc.com/store/teensy.html
The mystery ones vary but check for gold plated through holes, the button and the silkscreen, especially the ones on angles (where knock offs often have right angles only).
And possibly post a photo of what you have

    Hi,

I see. Thanks. By the looks of things it is a counterfeit.
I went and got an original one and it works.

    Cheers mates.

Thanks for all the help. I burned on it couple of hours..
