Force Sensitive Resistor Momentary switch.

Hi, a question for you all. If I take this https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9673
and attach the 2 wires from a 3.5mm jack will it work as a switch for this http://stealthswitch3.com/stealthswitch-3/?

No need for a cpu, just a few resistors, a comparator IC with open collector output, a diode and a small relay...

I already own The stealth switch 3, I just want a new button and was wondering if the Force Sensitive Resistor can be used as I described.

Without knowing about the internals of the existing stealth switch, I guess that its internal circuitry expects a real switch which has infinite resistance when open and less than 1Ohm when closed. Thus, it is highly improbable that it works with this kind of pressure sensitive variable resistors.

lol I figured it wouldn't be that simple. Ok, then would you know of a momentary switch that has a .4 Oz actuation force or something similar?

Why not ask the manufacturer for an original spare part?
