IR Blaster difficulty?

hey guy, looking at making the IR blaster specified in the projects list but ive never really done much project stuff exempt crimping network cables building my own pc and soldering

the instructions dont seem all that solid but this seems a cheaper method then buying a USB-UIRT Just to control my TV and aircon via PC

are there other instructions available? is it all that difficult?

On the plus side, there is a github repository with the code.

On the minus side, there is no schematic so you need to figure out the circuit from looking at the photo. For a first project, you might be better assembling the components on stripboard and using sockets to connect the Teensy to that, rather than the free-wiring approach shown in the photo.
