Teensy as a keyboard encoder applications

I have used one sucesfully with a membrane type keyboard, but now I have an older one with "foil and foam" capacitive switches. I was wondering if anyone had successfully used a teensy with such a keyboard?

It's a BTC5100 for those interested.

If you need to measure capacitance to read the key states, the Teensy touchRead() function may be useful. Lots of options there if you dig into the implementation. For example, search for touchReadTimeout().
