Teensy + Laser + Solar Panel = ?

Wireless signals are cool. Lasers are also cool. Would it be possible to use a Teensy to send a USB signal through a laser, hit a solar panel, and receive it on another device? If so, what would be possible and how would I do it? Thanks!

Yes, but if you care about the data transmission rate you probably want to use something other than a solar panel, such as a photodiode or photo-multiplier tube.

Try searching the web. Data transmission by laser has an interesting history and it has even been commercialized.
