Could someone please link to an example where the PGA is used to amplify a small signal which is fed to an AD input? Sorry if I have missed it, but I have not found how to use PGA on this site & I am a novice microcontroller user.
Project:
I am measuring DC current via the voltage across a 0.01 Ohm shunt. At the maximum current of 13A, the voltage is only .13V, so it needs to be amplified in order to use much of the AD range. I had planned to do something with an op amp, but when I found that the Teensy has a PGA feature, that seems a better option. Am I correct in assuming that the PGA actually performs an analog amplification, for the purpose of boosting low voltage signals to be fed into the AD?
Thank you
