I'm using two audio boards with teensy 3.2 to do quad channel recording. However, while following the sparkfun tutorial on quad channel setup, the pad for pin 30 came off (where the jumper connects).
What exactly does this jumper do, and is there a workaround? I only need audio input, not output.

I only need audio input, not output.

Then you really do need pin 30. It's the pin which receives channels 3 & 4.

Perhaps you could salvage the board by very carefully scraping the green solder mask off the nearby via. This isn't easy. You'll probably need a good magnifier and bright light, and an Exacto or similar small utility knife to scrape away the solder mask.

The key to success, besides a working with a good magnifier, is using a very thin wire with some way to mechanically secure it to part of the board before it connects to the via. If the wire isn't secured well, even a slight strain on the wire will very likely rip it off the board and tear away the last remaining hope of getting a connection to pin 30.
