All,

I'd like to make a PCB board to mount my teensy 3.2 and the teensy audio shield. The traces between each would be around 2 inches long. I read that the connections between the two should be as short as possible. Think my 2 inch traces fall into that category?

Thanks in advance.

Kris

actually my 3.2 with pins slides over and it looks like the pins are still long enough to fit into a IC socket. Still may consider separating and mounting adjacent though.

2 inch trace length is usually fine.

If using only a 2 layer PCB (no ground plane on any inner layers) route a ground wire alongside the MCLK signal, and make sure it connects to GND of both chips with minimal extra length.
