Change head phone jack to stereo mic on SGTL5000 audio boards?

Hello,

I'm using the SGTL Audio boards as a logger, I have no need for the headphone jacks and I'm in a tight space.

Rather than just removing the headphone jacks, can I use them as a connector for my microphones (rather than soldering them in on the AC97 connector)?

I guess specifically, what would I need to cut and reroute to make that work?

Yup, you'd need to cut all 3 traces, then add wires to connect it to GND (rather than VGND) and the mic input pin.
