Largest SD card that will work?

Please pardon if this has been answered before -- I'm somewhat new to the Teensy 3.6 and I have searched for this without finding a definitive answer. Not saying it ain't out there, just that I either don't know the right search terms or missed it in my searches somehow.

I'd like to know how large an SD card is usable in a Teensy 3.6 SD slot for normal data storage (not audio files). I THINK it's 32 gigabytes and must be formatted FAT32 (SD Formatter program) but need to know for sure.

Thanks,
Jim Sheldon

It depends on the File system you are using.
AFAIK, the build in SD library is only up to FAT32, but you can format larger disks to be FAT32.
If you are using SdFs or uSDFS you can use also exFAT formatted disks that are more efficient for larger disks. I use regularly 128 GB but this is not the upper limit
