Has the debugging problem on teensy 3.6 been resolved?

Before I start desoldering chip on my newly acquired board, as per https://dzone.com/articles/modifying-the-teensy-35-and-36-for-arm-swd-debuggi, does pin “DE” now work by pulling it to ground, to allow the JTAG debugger to work without interference from the MKL02Z32VFG4 ?

I find Arduino IDE primitive and would rather like to use MCUXpresso IDE.

Nope, sorry, there *still* hasn't been any bootloader update. It's been many times pushed to a lower priority than a ton of other stuff.

Ok. Would have been great to retain your bootloader. Guess I will be going the JTAG route. Thanks for an otherwise great product.

What would be great is MKL02Z32VFG4 or probably bigger, connected to USB to allow for jtag debugging via said device, and forward arduino messages as well to the main processor.
You could certainly charge a premium for such a version.
