Hi all,

I've been making custom Teensy devices for a while and just recently I've noticed the importance of segregating analog and digital circuits with respect to their ground paths. I have a few questions related to 2 layer PCBs and ground paths.

I assume I should keep the ground plane on the bottom of my PCBs connected to GND. For my analog connections, would it make sense to just run thick traces from my analog connections directly to the AGND pin? I normally also have a ground plane on the top of the PCB as well. Can this cause inference if I have AGND traces passing through the top GND plane? Any tips and suggestion would be much appreciated. Thank-you in advance for your help.

Regards,
Rob
