Hi guys, just wondering if it's possible to disable/enable the 3.3v output pin(s) on the Teensy 3.2 via software. My suspicion is "no", because it's connected directly to the voltage regulator, but I'd love to be wrong.

Thanks in advance!

Check the schematic … it would take some board modification if powered by USB through Vin - or powered by Vin. If the Teensy is powered there will be 3.3V on that pin. 3.3V can be supplied externally to that pin - then taking away that power would turn off the pin.

Must be an interesting reason for this?

We're using a Teensy 3.2 to drive LED strips in a mobile (battery powered) application and have recently discovered that the strip pulls milliamps even when fully off, just by being plugged in. We already have a board design printed and were hoping to save the cost / control pin / redesign effort of putting a MOSFET on the positive voltage line to the strip by just shutting off voltage from the Teensy itself, but alas.

Thanks for confirming!
