I nicked off a small chip off my Teensy 2.0... what did it do?

Hello,

I just noticed that I accidentally nicked off a small chip on my Teensy 2.0. I'm not sure what it was or what it connected to.

And here I've circled in red where this chip is on the board:

So far my Arduino sketch has been running just fine, but I'd like to ask, what exactly did it do and what features are now hampered without it? Thanks! :)
 
That was the 0.1uF capacitor between Aref and ground. If you aren't using an ADC, and in particular not using the analog reference, there shouldn't be any problems.

Thanks for the quick answer! I'm glad it should only impact the AREF pin as I won't be needing it for this project.
