Hi everyone,

Here is my setup :

Teensy 3.2 + octo adapter board + ws2812b led strip (30 led for now) with a power supplie 5v 20A.

Teensy is powered by usb, and the led with the power supplie.
My wiring is the following :

5V+PSU --> 5v+ Led strip
5V- PSU --> GND Led strip & Ground (orangewhite Cat6 cable) Octows2811
Data (Orange cat6 cable) --> din Ledstrip

When i upload a program on the teensy all the leds goes full white, no matter what the program is .
Also i noticed the first led seems to have a slightly different color.

So, i check if the cat6 cable was correctly cabled, it is.
I tried with others portions of led strip, the same happen.

I have soldered the teensy to the octows2811, i checked if the solder was too bad, but looks fine (i think).

Anyone had this issue in the past ?

Thanks.

ps :
I am gonna try to add some photos tomorow, but if someone has a guess that would be awesome. :cool:

Ok, i connected pin 15to 16 and it looks like it's working... i thought i had the last version of the octows2811 library but in fact was the 1.2.0 and not the 1.4.

Wow, how'd you end up with such an older version of the software?

We stopped shorting those pin on the Octo board about a year ago, since it hasn't been necessary for a long time in the software. That lets you actually use those 2 pins for something useful.

Ahah, i got the library from a tutoriel on a website, and did not check if it was the last one:) Now it works just fine.. Btw, thanks for these pretty awesome library
