Suitable FPC Connector for SD Card Contacts Teensy 4.0

Hello, I am looking for a connector to solder on to the bottom of the new Teensy to enable me to use the SD card pins. The recommended connector AFAIK is this - https://www.digikey.co.uk/product-de.../609-1788-1-ND. However, this is discontinued (although still in stock for now) so does anyone know of a suitable replacement?

    Thanks,
    Louis

Edit - I'm confused some websites (like Mouser) say it is end of life but the manufacturer and Digikey says it isn't.

For those of us in awkward places (like anywhere outside the US :-) it would be great if the connector could be an option in the shop here when you buy a T4... I'll be getting a few to use and replace some 3.5's for a racing logger... I currently have "enough" cpu but I have a predictive lap time function that currently can't be comfortably done in realtime. An SD card is a requirement for me for the logging, so I am waiting until it becomes apparent what the smallest, supported Micro SD, (Or SD even) solution looks like.
    Cheers - N

That's exactly why I didn't delete my question after finding that the connectors aren't discontinued (I think), these connectors are a pain to get hold of outside of the US. If there was a UK distributor or a suitable alternative, that would be great!

Edit - TallDog's flex PCB looks great (https://forum.pjrc.com/threads/57122...0-Breakout-Kit) but once again it will be a pain to get hold of outside of the US unless you are willing to pay for expensive shipping!

An Octopart search shows plenty of EU distributors. https://octopart.com/hfw8r-1ste1lf-a...SF-hi7xJEviQyw

E.g. Farnell has 4000 on stock.

But for those who just wants one connector with their teensy, that is still very impractical as shipping will make it very expensive. PJRC could probably sell these at $4-5 a piece and still sell a bunch to people even though that is close to a 10x markup.

Farnell has then in stock but only in the US which means you have to pay an extra 15.95, even if you only buy one!

Here are all the 8 core 1mm pitch fpc cables available at farnell.
Be aware there are 2 types to choose from, same sided contacts and opposite sided contacts, depending on how you orient the second connector meaning if the fpc makes a u-turn or not. Length ranges from 50mm to 200mm.
