    Teensy 4.0 ADC and DAC Resolution

    Have I interpreted the manuals correctly that the Teensy 4.0 has a 12 bit ADC but that the DAC resolution is only 6 bit?

    yep, but the DAC is for internal use only (ADC compare ). There is no DAC output pin. bummer.

    That really is a bummer. I'm a beginner to DIY and teensy and I bought the 4.0 on a whim after trying to buy an MCU. Please can I used an external DAC and how do I use it. Alo please which DAC would be the best. Even if its just resources you share I would be grateful, I didn't want to google so as not to be overwhelmed by the plethora of information
