    If you're connecting a SD card to the SPI pins (11, 12, 13), then you can use any other digital pin for CS.

    If you're using the SD socket that's built into Teensy 3.6, use SD.begin(BUILTIN_SDCARD);

    In Arduino, click File > Examples > SD and open any of those examples. The comments explain your options.

    I am using the SD formatter code from https://github.com/greiman/SdFat.git and BUILTIN_SDCARD is coming up as not defined, what actual pin number is it? I do not see a format example in the SD library.

    Have a look into
    https://github.com/greiman/SdFat/blo...sySdioDemo.ino
    to see how Bill is handling SDIO (i.e. Teensy3.6 internal sdCard) and adapt other examples from Bill's examples list

    edit SdFat/examples/SdFormatter/SdFormatter.ino to read #define USE_SDIO 1

    though i haven't used SdFat lately ...
