I already use ADuM3160/ADum4160 for isolation devices for low/fullspeed usb but I'm having a hard time finding a reasonable priced alternative for usb hi-speed (480Mbps).
Now that the Teensy 4.0 has 480Mbps host capability I'm curious to know if it would be possible to use a ADum3/4160 between a PC and the Teensy and have the PC see USB host device transparently. I get it wouldn't work if it needs to transfer > 12Mbps but I have a few devices that are low bandwidth that aren't USB1.1 compatible.
The other option I'm considering is USBIP with OpenWRT but the Teensy4.0 version seems like a nicer design.
If there are other ways to do this I'm all ears.
thanks
