hi.
I bought teensy 3.5 & AB rev B.
I don't remember, why not rev C, but have B.
Without AB teensy connect to PC, can Upload scetch.
After soldering board together, it stop work, no sound on lineOut/headphones, not upload.

it's compatible? or need magic cut of some pins?

if detach AB from teensy, controller work correctly.

soryy for my english.

Thanks.

Please post a photo.

Hm, does the 3v3 pin has contact? It's difficult to see.

trouble on this time next - can't upload sceth after solder AB. not see COM port when plug to USB. I think - have conflicts when i connect AB and teensy not work correct. Can we try solve this first?

This solder is second time. After first, i detach AB and upload come back. But i use headphone for sound and led not light (i think, what board not work, as Arduino board have led light when work).

But i use headphone for sound and led not light (i think, what board not work, as Arduino board have led light when work).

Led (pin13) does not work when using Audioboard.
Audioboard does not work when using pinMode(13,OUTPUT) in setup.

As last chance, look for shorts, excessive solder..
..and try to cut all pins and remove the Audio Shield.

try resoldering every single solder joint under magnification and carefully check every solder joint under magnification glasses.

In the photos you can see several weak or faulty solder joints, for example pin 2 is NOT connected and others seem suspect (for example the pin on the Audio shield left of the SD card holder).

bad news.
i take new 3.6 upload to "simpleDrum" - "blink" - "simpleDrum" - it's ok.
Next, i solder pins on both board and connect wires without solder.
Connect to USB - PC write Unknown Device, sounds no on Line out...
After, i detach boards, and try upload sketch. Nothing. RESET 15 sec not help.

I upload so many Arduino Nano (2$) ~ 30 pcs with add components as microphone, button, relays - all work of all time.

First teensy's have trouble on start...
Really such an unreliable board?
I'm very sad...
~70$ (2 teensy, 2 AudioShield, shipping) fly to black hole...

hmmm...
i don't understand...
While i types previous post ... sketh uploads ....
3.6 wake up...
How it work?
need more power?

yes, Rev B works with all T3.x

I can also confirm, Rev B definitely does work with Teensy 3.5.

Rev C added a 100 ohm resistor. The 100 ohm resistor is only needed if long wires (length of a solderless breadboard) are used with Teensy 3.6, or any length wires are used with Teensy 4.0 (but keeping the wires very short is difficult because Rec B & C have the I2S signals in the wrong pins for direct use with Teensy 4.0).

Rev B works with Teensy 3.5 even if long wires are used.

Even the incompatible cases, like using Rev D on Teensy 3.x or Rev B & C on Teensy 4.0 (without re-routing the I2S wires) do not cause Teensy to fail at USB communication. Again, any rev audio shield used with Teensy 3.5 should not cause USB problems. If USB communication is disrupted, that's a sure sign something worse is going on.

some unknown.
first upload Simple drum no hear...
more time.
I change on PlaySynthMsic - it's hear
After start play and Drum...
Mystic
