    Using MCUXpresso with Teensy 4.0

    Hi All,

I'm interested in using the teensy 4.0 as a platform to learn embedded C/C++ and develop high speed digital controllers for a variety of projects. I don't want to use the Arduino libraries because they hide away too much of the underlying hardware detail and limit learning.

I'm looking into using NXP's MCUXpresso IDE to develop software for the Teensy 4.0 as it supports the MIMXRT1062DVL6A processor. I'd then use the GCC ARM compiler toolchain to generate a .hex file that is compatible with the teensy loader.

Does this sound feasible? Is anyone else working on something like this?
