    3D Model for Teensy 4.1

Thought I should post this here since I got the help I needed to label the pins here.

Looks good! Would you mind if I included it with the KiCad footprint for the Teensy here: https://github.com/blackketter/teensy.pretty

If that's ok, let me know how you'd like credit.

Pin placement does seem to line up with the holes in the footprint well. I did notice that there are no components modeled on the bottom side, not sure if that's important.

You can include it, just credit Zack Kummer (my GrabCAD user name). I left the components off the bottom because they were all low profile smd stuff that didn't really affect my project. But I can/should add them if it's going into the github repo. If you have the height for the tallest of the smd parts on the back, I can add them tonight. Otherwise I'm still waiting on USPS to get my 4.1's to me and can measure myself sometime this week.

A couple of days ago I did post Teensy 4.1 3D CAD files in this thread: 3D Cad for Teensy 3.5 and 3.6
Perhaps this will help people find additional 3d formats.

Ah, I missed that! I think KiCad needs STEP files, so hopefully we can get conversions to that...

I've posted a conversion of Chris O's Wavefront OBJ file to the STEP format. See this thread for where to get it (even ZIP'd, it's too big to attach): https://forum.pjrc.com/threads/41007...l=1#post241816

Thanks Mark, it looks good but whoa, that is big! Not sure if it makes sense to use a 118MB model in the footprint library. I think I'll just use Jack's for now.

I measured the tallest parts on the back as being about 0.7mm high.

Here's my colorized version of KillerBug's (Zack Kummer) great Teensy 4.1 model:

    Teensy_4.1_Assembly.STEP

    Warning: 19Mb :-)

    simplified CAD

    Teensy_4.1_Assembly_simplified.zip

Here is a version of the previous that has been simplified to reduce it to 2881 KB. I took out the silkscreen features and also some internal features of the microsd card and usb port
