Teensy++ 2.0 detached as two HID

I am having issues where my Teensy++ 2.0 which is using Raw HID 1.0 is showing up on Windows 10 machines as two USB input devices.

Is was discovered when someone noticed they were having connection issues and two fix it the workaround was to uninstall and reinstall the driver.

Does anyone know of why this could be or any tips on debugging this?
 
Yes, this is normal.

A second HID interface is created to emulate Serial, so you can use Serial.print() and have it appear in the Arduino Serial Monitor even with there is no COM port.

Do have any insight on why a windows 10 driver would need to be reinstalled for communication to continue?
