Mounting issues

I want to mount the audio board below the Teensy 4.0 but that is interfering with the mic placement. How long can I safely make the wires on the mic without causing problems?

Since the buttons are on the teensy placing it underneath makes no sense to me, but the mic is placed so that will not work. If I add a little bit of stiff wiring I should be able to make it work, but I don't want to be picking up rf with too long a wire, thus my question.

Your "a little bit of stiff wiring" should be OK. An inch or two is a reasonable limit for unshielded wire.

The mic cable can be yards long without affecting quality, when shielded cable is used.
