Using I2C communication between a Teensy 3.5 and an Arduino Uno?

The question is pretty much in the title. Does anyone know if it's possible to use I2C as a method of sending data from a Teensy 3.5 (which would function as the "master") to an Arduino Uno (which would function as one of the "subordinates")?

I can't comment on using I2C but i have transferred data between a Teensy and Arduino via the serial port. However I did have to use EasyTransfer lib to keep my data in the structure i used to transfer data in tact.

If i recall the EasyTransfer has methods for transferring using I2C.
