Is there away to enter program via the loop of your running code?

I currently use my Teensy as the brain of my hitbox style fightstick. In order to change the code I have to open my box and press the button on the teensy. This obviously makes each iteration a chore. I was wondering if there was a way to have a certain combination of inputs call a function that would put it in program mode.
